The obverse is a localized map which depicts the Bering Strait and the two islands, Big Diomede (Russia) and Little Diomede (USA), separated by the International Date Line.

The reverse is an image of the Little Diomede U.S. Coast & Gepdetic Survey Triangulation Station benchmark
