... UPDATE ...
Banana made it 1,118 km to upstate New York, but got lost. Poor Little Monkey :-(
So, we created a home-made proxy tag. Stay safe little buddy.
Bonobo the Monkey's nick name is Banana. (you can probably guess there is a story behind that one). The Happy Bee and I can only go caching one day at a time, but with a "Back to the Future" Delorean, anything is possible. Can you imagine getting FTF on an Project APE cache? I am sure Banana would be especially honoured.
RubberRabbit and I saw the original Stainless Steel Delorean DMC-12 that was used in the "Back to the Future" movie (1985), when we toured Universal Studios in LA a few years ago. Unfortunately, they weren't giving rides.
The Delorean Banana drives is a replica of the 1982 gold-plated American Express DMC-12. Located at the William Harrah National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada, this car is one of only three produced. It is the only one equipped with a manual transmission, tan interior and has 2,307km on the odometer.
I attended the Toronto International Autoshow in 1983, and they had a DMC-12 SS that was painted "Candy-Apple Red". Wow, what memories.
We would love to see any photos that could be posted as Banana travels along. Enjoy.
