We are a group of students of Du Maillon School in Grade 5 and 6, aged 10 to 12 years . Du Maillon School is separated in three places called « pavillons ». We go to school at Pavillon of Roquemaure. The students from three villages, Gallichan, Roquemaure and Rapide-Danseur come to this pavilion.
We are participating to a travel around the world with our eight travelling objects. These objects are sent all around on the planet. The goal of our project is to get these objects back to their starting point
The details in English about this travel bug will be completed by the class it belongs to. It was sent by mail to the country written in its name and its mission is to come back home in the region of Abitibi-Temiscamingue, in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is part of a race among 64 travel bugs belonging to 8 classes. During this project the kids should learn a lot about the different places visited by their bugs. Please don’t hesitate to write details in your logs and to add pictures. The kids are learning English as a second language and reading you will be a good exercise for them.

The picturesque village of St-Laurent-de-Gallichan gets its name in two parts : St-Laurent is referred to the St-Laurent River near Montreal as a nostalgic resemblance to the eyes of the pioneers. The name Gallichan comes from a colon named François Gallichan who exploited a sawmill on the island in front of the village.
St-Laurent-de-Gallichan has been established in 1937. It counts 500 Gallichanois and Gallichanoises. This charming place stands out for its agriculture, fishing activities, beautiful landscapes and many artists living there.

Dropped in Gulfside City Park Cache on Sanibel Island, Florida. Lots of Canadian snowbirds nest here. Perhaps one will pick up your TB soon. In the meantime it will be lounging on the beach. Good Luck!
