Bay Area Ridge Trail Travel Bug!

The Bay Area Ridge Trail is a proposed 550+ mile hiking & ridging trail along the ridgelines and hilltops circling San Francisco Bay. There are currently more than 330 miles of Ridge Trail open to the public, and preserved for future generations. When complete, the Ridge Trail will connect more than 70 parks and open spaces.

The Bay Area Ridge Trail Council is the non-profit working to plan, acquire, design, build, care for, and promote the Ridge Trail. The Council works in close partnership with agencies and local government, parks, land trusts, and other stakeholders and volunteers to complete the vision of a continuous trail around the Bay Area, for hikers, cyclists and equestrians. I was a little worried about picking this one up because after finding about a dozen caches on the Bay Area Ridge Trail today, I wasn't sure whether I would have time to find any more. But I did find one more cache after this, and it was big enough for a traveler.

This is the first Bay Area Ridge Trail Traveler I have encountered. I guess I'll be doing another cache run in the South Bay soon.

Okay, so none of the caches which I took this traveler are actually on the Bay Ridge Trail. But I could see Skyline Boulevard from many of them. I figure that will have to do because I don't get up to the Bay Area trails often.
