Current Goal

PLEASE KEEP THIS GEOCOIN MOVING!!  It doesn't much care where it goes, as long as it gets there. although it definitely wants to visit as many multicaches as possible   We own this, but have sent it out into the world so that others can enjoy it, collect its icon and then pass it on to another cache.  If you can post a photo of it on its travels, that would be great   Discoveries are always welcome. Thanks to all who help our geocoins and TBs!

About This Item

The geocoin

One of a series of larger geocoins that feature the icons of the various geocache types.  Multi-caches can be simple or complex, of two stages, or many.  Our very first cache hide, a decade ago, was a two-stage multicache in the Upper Ojai Valley; we archived it about five years later.  Some of our favorite multis are those of pianofab, who finds man-made objects in National Park Service areas (where physical caches are not allowed), and uses information on those objects to lead one to the physical cache, outside NPS boundaries.  On Labor Day weekend of 2013, we went out to the San Fernando Valley and met up with Webfoot; our goal was to Find at least ten multicaches for a challenge cache: we succeeded, just barely surprise  Lots of cachers avoid multis, as they don't like the extra work for just one Smiley, but we have found that multicaches often provide a better mental and physical workout, as well as tend to highlight places of scenic or historic interest.
