It’s time to say goodbye to this little fella. We’ve spent a good long time together, keeping well out of harm’s way during this coronavirus pandemic. Hopefully he won’t have to endure any more lockdowns. And may he go on to enjoy many more years of happy travels.

I picked up three geocaches in this area, this one being on the coast overlooking the bluest sea imaginable on this beautiful weekend. The Pembrokeshire coastal path would take weeks to walk and I walked just a small fraction of it. If it’s all as beautiful as this you would probably think you had gone to heaven.

Despite being the smallest city in Great Britain, the cathedral at Saint Davids certainly ranks high on the list in terms of its attractiveness. The town itself is given over almost entirely to tourism. The coastline surrounding Saint Davids has to be one of the most attractive in the UK, particularly when the sun is shining like it has for us all this weekend.

This is Bewdley and a very pretty little Georgian town it is and well worth a visit. We’re having coffee here on the third day of our holiday and it’s still very hot. The river you see is the river Severn and it’s very tempting to just leap in with all the motorcycle kit on but I think I’d sink to the bottom never to reappear again.

Here we are back on almost home ground. Today I’m having the motorbike serviced and given an MOT at the local BMW garage in Lower Faringdon. Not too many geocaches around these parts sadly but I found a couple and I’m now going to do a loop back to Bahnstomer and hope that the tracks aren’t quite as muddy as the one I’ve already walked along. There’s not a lot to be said about this part of the world except that it’s very pretty and this is a very popular area for motorcycles since the A32 is a nice winding road and there’s a good bikers café at West Meon,

Today we went on a gorgeous walk just south of the small town of Gargrave, on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. This really is a wonderful place to visit particularly if the weather is fine like it is today. This cache is located along the tow path of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Here we are in Scotland enjoying a day off the motorbike and doing a spot of walking around the mouth of the Annan which flows out into the Solway Firth. It’s not exactly remote but it sure is a quiet sort of a place with just a few cows for company. The cache itself was located close to an old Second World War bomb shelter which I crawled into in the mistaken belief that the cache was hidden in it. Still, I’m glad I had a nose around.

Here we are at Barnard Castle, a thriving market town with a famous museum and of course the ruins of an ancient castle. Unfortunately for Barnard Castle it’s modern claim to fame is as a result of it being visited by a certain Dominic Cummings who disobeyed all the rules as regards COVID lockdown and visited the place reportedly to check that his eyesight was okay to drive. I won’t bore you with any more detail than that. Many thanks for placing this cache

Well, here we are on my first visit to Robin Hoods Bay – and what a quaint little place it is and rather full of visitors today because the weather is so nice. How lucky are we! I bet it could be fairly evil here on a stormy day. We had a great journey over on the motorbike from Tadcaster – it shouldn’t have taken so long but Mr Garmin was up to his usual tricks. Anyway we got here in the end and some of the route was really very pretty. Many thanks for placing this cache. The logbook is a little damp but not too bad.
