Current Goal

This Avro Lancaster travel bug would like to visit the other Bomber Command WW2 airfields of the East of England in memory of those aircrew who did not return.  The airfields are listed below. If it could get to the caches nearest to the listed airfields that would be great.  Even better if the Lancaster could be photographed at a landmark or memorial plaque on or close to each airfield or at the appropriate nearest village sign.
On completion of it’s tour it would like to make it’s way back to Warboys airfield (156 Pathfinder cache) from where it started.(cache now archived, an alternative will be sought)
Thank you

This travel bug is in memory of the 156 Pathfinder Squadron British & Commonwealth aircrew who did not survive the war.
Young men such as Flight Sergeant Gordon William Fordyce, from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, a pilot of the Royal Canadian Airforce who flew a total of 24 missions, first with 12 Squadron, and from 23/10/43 with 156 Pathfinder Squadron. He was killed on Tuesday 23rd November 1943 when returning from his mission, having taken off at 5.36pm from RAF Warboys, near Huntingdon.
