Current Goal

To travel to all the places where a Fisher House is located.  The Fisher House program helps our nation's militatry in time of need, providing a humantarian service that goes beyond what the Department of Defense and Veterans Administration provide.  These homes are build on the grounds of major military installations and VA medical centers and enable family members to be close to a loved ones at the most stressful times, such as hospitalizations for various reasons.  There is no charge for family members to stay at a Fisher House.

About This Item

Fisher Houses are found in Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Flordis, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington.  In some states, there are mone than one Fisher House.  And there is one at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
