Current Goal

In the summer of 2003, 10 Travel Bugs started their transatlantic race to Belgium. They were all dropped in the same cache in the United States, and their goal was to return to Belgium as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, the race has ended and I have enjoyed travelling many countries.
My main objective right now is to return to Belgium as close as possible to my home location (Denderleeuw), to be picked up by my owner.
So, help me to return to Flanders... Many thanks!

This is one of three of the Belgian Racing Travel Bugs that I picked up today and will move over to Interstate 17 in a couple days.
In case our Belgian friends are interested, I thought I'd describe the area that this TB is in.
All ten started in the cache 'Witness Post', which is near a very small town named Seligman in central Arizona, southwest USA. This is high-desert/ranchland, hilly, and about 5,000 feet in elevation. Also, 'Witness Post' is along a very historic road, Route 66, which I believe was the first paved road across the USA to the west (Chicago to Los Angeles).
Five of the Racing TB's were moved to 'Near 305' which is a cache along a road south of the town of Prescott, Arizona, population approximately 35,000. Prescott rests in the mountains above a mile high....'Near 305' is at 6100 feet in elevation, surrounded by mountains and pine trees.
Around Prescott, it snows in the winter and the summer temps reach 100F for a few days. We are in our summer 'monsoon' season right now, a two month period from mid-July to mid-September where we have thunderstorms and rain almost daily.

  • View of Prescott, Arizona Prescott Arizona, southwest USA, is in a basin surrounded by pine-forested mountains, elevation 5,200-6,200 feet.
