Der Weisse Turm von Fritzdorf/ White Rook of Fritzdorf

Der Weisse Turm von Fritzdorf ist einer von drei Trackables mit einem Schachmotiv (die anderen beiden sind der Schwarze Springer von Fritzdorf und die Schwarze Dame von Fritzdorf). Fritzdorf ist ein kleiner Ort in der Nähe von Bonn, der einen großartigen Schachclub (besonders im Jugendbereich) beherbergt. Die Schachfiguren sind alle Spenden der Schachabteilung des TTC Grün-Weiß Fritzdorf 1958 e.V., vielen Dank!

Die Mission dieser drei Schach-TBs lautet: Nach Edmonton/Canada und wieder nach Fritzdorf/Deutschland zurück zu reisen.

Sie sind herzliche Grüße an unsere Vereinskameraden, die nach Kanada gezogen sind, aber auch Grüße an alle Geocacher, die selbst Schach spielen oder an diesem faszinierenden Spiel interessiert sind.

Zu Ehren der Schachfreizeit der Schachjugend NRW werden alle drei Schach-TBs in der Nähe der Wewelsburg in die Welt entlassen.

White Rook of Fritzdorf is one of three trackables with a chess theme (the others being Black Knight of Fritzdorf and Black Queen of Fritzdorf). Fritzdorf is a small town near Bonn in Germany, host to a great youth chess team. :-) The chess pieces are all courtesy of TTC GW Fritzdorf, thank you!

The mission of all three chess trackables is to travel to Edmonton, Canada and then back to Fritzdorf, Germany. They are a cordial greeting to our team mates who relocated to Canada, as well as a greeting to all fellow Geocachers who play chess around the world or who might become interested in this fascinating game.
