This tracks my mileage since cache #620 (20060817). This coin collects all local logs I make on all caches--finds and DNFs alike. If I don't use a tool to log power trails, this coin also receives mileage from the trips I make.

About This Item

A gift to me while on the DeLorme Challenge. I used to carry this in my pocket to every cache I found. Now, I keep it in my messenger bag, which I bring when traveling, which means it's at the house when I'm not.

    Wow. There are many earthworks around here. I’m glad to see “progress” hasn’t taken them all down.

    I scaled the hill, saw bird droppings all over the cache site, and made the quick find.

    An extended family had a picnic in this small park and was grilling something. Another person was reading the plaques. I approached the cache site and made a covert find. A historical place.

    We parked and saw a family using the park. We stopped and looked at the first plaque, then went in search of the cache. I walked on the earthworks and c3 found a trail. We arrived at the cache site at roughly the same time and I made the instant find. Nice place.

    As I looked for the cache, I saw a few graves from the 1920’s. Wow.

    We also learned the road next to the cache site is actually used, so c3 had to move his car a few times. Oops.

    This was a different type of OYR cache. Since c3 was driving, I was the one finding. I found the correct place and saw the cache during my cursory search. Quick, though I have never liked that hide type.
