I created this travelbug after travelling to Iceland in Summer 2013. It's a great country with beautyful landscape, lots of volcanos, waterfalls, geysirs und steam coming out of the earth. Iceland is a green country, because they get their energy from hot springs and geothermal power plants, so they don't eject CO2 or radioactive material into the nature.

As i found caches there, the biggest difficulty are the rocks. Often, the hint is "Under a rock" or so, but if you know Iceland, you know, that there are a lot of rocks out there.

Just remembering summer 2010, as Eyjafjallajökull broke out? Yep, i was directly affected by that, because i wanted to travel to Ireland and everything delayed one week.

The travelbug is a key chain with the flag of Iceland, the map of Iceland and a Puffin, the inofficial national symbol of Iceland.

Ich erstellte diesen Travelbug, nachdem ich 2013 Urlaub in Island machte. Es ist ein großartiges Land mit schöner Landschaft, vielen Vulkanen, Wasserfällen, heißen Quellen, Geysiren und Dampf, der aus dem Boden kommt. Island ist ein grünes Land, weil dort Energie aus heißen Quellen oder geothermalen Kraftwerken generiert wird, so dass dort kein CO2 oder radioaktives Material ausgestoßen wird.

Da ich dort auch cachte, waren die größten Probleme die Felsen. Oftmals war der Hinweis "Unter einem Stein" oder so. Aber wer Island kennt weiß, dass es dort sehr viele Steine gibt.

Erinnert ihr euch an 2010, als der Eyjafjallajökull ausbrach? Genau, ich war direkt betroffen, da ich nach Irland reisen wollte und sich alles um eine Woche verzögerte.

Dieser Travelbug ist ein Schlüsselanhänger mit der Flagge Islands, einer Karte Islands sowie einem Papageitaucher, dem inoffiziellen Nationalzeichen von Island.
