Plastic Madonna

Plastic Madonna wordt een 12 meter lang beeld van een moeder die haar kind borstvoeding geeft en wordt met 3D-printers gemaakt van het plastic van 100.000 flesjes die van straat zijn geraapt. Het beeld symboliseert dat plastic zwerfafval in ons eten terecht komt en we de generaties na ons plastic te eten geven.   Met het project wordt ook de boodschap doorgegeven hoe we dit op een heel eenvoudige manier kunnen voorkomen: met the power of one.

Plastic Madonna is a 12 meter long statue of a mother breastfeeding her child. It will be made with 3D-printers using the recycled plastic of 100.000 bottles that were picked up from the street. The statue symbolises that plastic litter will end up in our food en we will feed plastic to the next generations. The project also sends out the message that there's an easy way to solve this problem: with the power of one:
