This really has nothing to do with this particular Geocoin but Geocoins in general. I'm a manufacturing guy, so I'm always looking at things, and trying to figure out a way to manufacture them cheaper.
I can see why these things are so expensive. It seems that they are made of brass or copper with some sort of plateing - expensive raw material and expensive final process. Without gong into detail of the intermediate steps - the final outside diameter is milled (rather then turned) - also expensive. If anyone has any thoughts on ths manufacturing process - I'd be interested to discuss it.
