kleine Wörterkunde
Eine Schmieche ist ein Gliedermaßstab, auch Zollstock genannt. Das Wort kommt aus dem Sächsischen und ist in der Gegend weit verbreitet. Da dieser TB seine Heimat im schönen Dresden hat und als Anhängsel einen Mini-Zollstock verpasst bekam, wurde er dementsprechend benannt.
word origin
The word "Schmieche" is a Saxon dialect word, which means folding rule. Since this TB has his home in the beautiful city of Dresden and got equipped with a mini folding ruler, it was named accordingly.
