Albany WA - Dog Rock is an Auscoinswest souvenir coin obtainable in the Dog Rock Shopping Centre, Albany, Western Australia.
Dog Rock is a well known local attraction however in 1921 the local council decided it was dangerous and was going to blow it up. It caused so much upset to the people so a referendum was held with a result of 409 to keep it and 207 to get rid of it.
This TB started its life in Albany on the south coast of Western Australia and participated in a Travel Bug Race for the W.A. Goes Big Geocaching Event. It crossed the finish line in 6th place racking up 17146 kms.
