It would be nice if this travel bug could make its way back to Merseyside at some point .
This travel bug is being released in loving memory of Colin Gould , my wonderful husband , who died on 11 April 2016 after a short but brutal battle with cancer. The original travel bug I released in his memory sadly went missing in Scotland. Hopefully this one will fare better.
Colin was a reluctant cacher at first , just keeping me company , but soon developed a good cacher's eye and had much more patience than me when it came to solving puzzle caches and the like. His 2 passions were Liverpool Football Club , which he had supported since a boy and photography which he didn't discover as a hobby until a few years before he died. He wasn't a great travdeller but loved to visit interesting places in the UK especially scenic areas or places where there was lots of wildlife.
The travel bug has an LFC key ring and a camera key ring attached to represent Colin's twin passions. It would be nice if you could take a photo of anything interesting in the area where you find the TB & upload it with your log. I think that Colin would be very pleased to see a travel bug with his name on moving around the country.
We were lucky enough to have 45 happy years together and caching without him is simply not the same.
