This “Star” series of travel bugs is to bring attention to my favorite movie actors. Some have awards, some do not. There is no criterion to be included as a favorite beyond I will watch anything that has her/him in it.
Ashley Judd was born as Ashley Tyler Ciminella in Granada Hills, California in 1968. Judd attended 13 schools before college, including the Sayre School (Lexington, Kentucky), Paul G. Blazer High School (Ashland, Kentucky) and Franklin High School in Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Kentucky honors program, where she majored in French and minored in anthropology, art history, theater and women's studies. She spent a semester studying in France as part of her major. She is the daughter of country music singer Naomi Judd and the half-sister of Wynonna Judd. I first noticed her on Star Trek, TNG (1991) then again in A Time to Kill (1996). My favorite movies are Kiss the Girls (1997) and Double Jeopardy (1999) and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002).
