This travel bug is on its way to Legoland in Billund, Denmark. Its brother (Lego Rock Raider TBG6GE) released at the same time has already made a round trip to Legoland in Windsor and is back in my hands. A little road weary after 3 years, 26,000 miles, and a side trip to Central America, but happy.
About This Item
This travel bug originated in the Serenity Springs Geocache in the mountains above Santa Cruz in Central California, USA. The travel bug is a $1.00 token from Legoland California. It was one of several purchased on one of our trips to Legoland for the remote control boats in Miniland, but unfortunately attention was directed otherwise and two of the tokens were not used. Upon arriving home, we discovered the unspent tokens and decided to send them on a journey around the world in search of information about other Legoland parks.
This token is packaged in a plastic box with the picture of a Lego Racer on it (originally it contained candy—sorry the candy has been eaten) also purchased at Legoland.
Our hope it that, when it arrives, the holder will answer some questions about using California tokens at other Legoland parks.
We hope the travel bug will enjoy some world traveling on its way to Billund.
Here are some questions and ideas for when the bug arrives in Billund:
1. Do they have token-operated motorboats at Legoland Billund?
2. Do they have any other token-operated concessions? How much do the tokens there cost?
3. Can a token from Legoland California be used at Legoland Billund?
We would very much like to see a picture of the motorboat concession at Billund (if there is one). Please replace the token with another from Legoland Denmark (or any Danish coin), and send it on its way back to our geocache in California.
