Ahoy, Matey, this trackable ye hold in yer hand commemorates GC82VHK, the mega event Going Caching 2019: Message in a Bottle. Attendees registered aboard one of seven pirate ships, each with its own captain & jolly roger, and set sail to Rome, Georgia for 5 days and 8 events full of mischief, mayhem, plunderin' and cachin'. Activities included a Pirate Parade through downtown Rome, the M.A.P. Geocoin Challenge, "The Black Barnacle Sails Again" stage show, and escapin' from the Black Barnacle's brig, as the seven pirate crews competed for the title of Most Fearsome Pirate Ship. After our lust for adventurin' was satisfied, we celebrated at the Club Skallywag Costume Soiree'. Sad to report that Going Caching 2020 has been cancelled due to covid concerns...stay tuned for plans for 2021.
