I was recently introduced to the song Apreciated by a group I've never heard of, Rixton. I think mom would have appreciated it and it definitely resonated with me.
Part of the chorus of the song says:
Oh, cause it's you
who takes care of everyone else
You, need to allow me to help
You are appreciated
Cause it's you who somehow is always the first
to take care of me at my worst

Origins of "hido," K.D., and the road trip
"Hido" was a greeting my mother, Kathy Bruce started saying in the mid-nineties. It was a consolidation of, "Hi, how are you doing?" into one word. Like Namaste for Enlgish speakers.
Mom's middle initial was "D". Katie was the name of her grandmother (her mom's mom). First initial plus middile initial, phonetically results in the same sound.
The Hido K.D. Road Trip is a tribute to my mother who passed away March 1st, 2019. She loved road trips and traveling. These trackables let her keep doing so for however long they last..
