About This Item

28 February 2012 Update:

Looks like this one's (finally) a gonner. But it had a loooong and fun run (OMG, since 2007!!!) "floating" 'round the globe. Thanks to all who moved (43,000+ miles!) along.

You can track the progress of this and all the ATW80C travelers at www.cachinggames.com

Please note that this little Xanadu Traveler can complete each feat only once. CLICK HERE to see a list of all 80 feats showing those that Xanadu has already accomplishd, as well as those feats Xanadu still needs to do.

Please try to have Xanadu complete one of the highest point feats. Indeed, for those who manage to have Xanadu perform a feat that earns 8 pts. or more in a single move - I will personally send you one of my signature BITTY PASSPORT & GLOBE!

If i'm right one of the tasks was to get a picture with a castle on it?

Found this very nice coin in TB Hotel Schiphol (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). I will try to help it. Good luck with your missions.

I have pics of the coin in Romania, with my GPS showing the location we were. (N44°34.154 E26°4.783) About 5800 miles). Too bad my contact there cancelled at the last minute and we didn't make it to our two caches.

Yippeee! Yup, Snowwolf is right, mcrt - either "moves 3,000 miles" or "crosses the Prime Meridian" gets Xanadu 9 pts. So take your choice. Perhaps you can do one of those now, and snag the other on your way home.

Meanwhile - yes, yes, yes indeed. Before you do any other feats, you'll have to have another cacher log Xanadu in and out of some cache.

Speaking of which... perhaps the best thing you could do right now, is - have another cacher take a pic w/ Xanadu with a policeman, fireman or EMT. That's the April/May bonus 5 pts. and if we don't do it by tomorrow the 16th - we'll forfeit those 5 pts forever!

In any case, whatever adventures you have will be just dandy. Xanadu's just happy floating 'round the World!

oops... forgot about crossing the prime meridian.

Well, as the crow flies you're just shy of 5000 miles (4883.78 according to my calcs), so the best you could go for is 3000 miles or different continent.

Remember, though, that you can't have consecutive feats. you need to have someone else grab/drop/pickup the coin before you can qualify for another feat.

Out traveling the globe. The only question is which goal should this count for?

I tried to put Xanadu into the oldest cache in the Netherlands, but it would not fit. Instead I placed it briefly into AMS1 Naar Vriendschap Zulk Een Mateloos Verlangen a great cache celebrating the diversity and tolerence of the city and country.
