About This Item

Eastie the Westie begins his journey

Hi, I'm Glen Eastie, a West Highland White Terrier from where else but the Highlands of Scotland! I'd like to return to my native land of kilts, bagpipes, and whiskey to visit friends near the shores of Loch Lomond. After that, I'd like to go home - to Grand Mesa, Colorado. My ancestors, the Glen Clan, hail from such fine whiskey distilleries as Glendronach, Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, and Glenburgie. If you think I am homesick for my American family - Clan Denver, please sing me the parody lyrics to my favorite lullaby "On the Shores of Loch Lomond": "Before the night was done, oor money was all gone, and oor vital signs, they were fadin', there was nothing they could do, to resurrect us two, so they gied us another nip o whiskey...By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes, where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond, where me and my true love were ever wont to gae, on the bonnie bonnie shores o'Lock Lomond"... ~Slainte! Glen Eastie, the Westie.

Found this little guy in a cache in Mission, BC. Looks like he has been missing for quite some time! (Last log is from 2006). I will try to drop him off soon in another British Columbia cache.

We discovered Eastie on the banks of the Fraser River. Looking at his name we mistakenly thought that he wanted to go West, but we are now plotting on how to get him closer home. Has been a while since we've been to Scotland... will give him a wee dram in the mean time to keep him content.
