In the first leg, teams must visit a cache in the Los Angeles/Long Beach, California area.
Mrs. Stump is a reality TV junkie, this travel bug is a tribute to the Amazing Race. There are three teams of two racing each other across the United States. There are two legs of the journey. In the first leg, teams must visit a cache in the Los Angeles/Long Beach, California area. The
second leg of the race is to head east. The first pair of ducks to upload photos of frolicking in the Atlantic Ocean will win the Amazing Duck Race.
For those of you familiar with the show, add tales of their journey-
- What roadblocks will they encounter?
- Any mandatory rest periods?
- Any teams find a fast forward? What about running out of money?
- Behaving badly at an airport?
Meet the teams and check their progress:
You, a helpful local, have picked up Paul and Wanda. They are the only married couple in this race. Wanda the Witch is very conniving and is known to fly off the handle at any time. Paul the Pumpkin is dealing with a severe handicap and still has a lot of anger about
the carving accident. Will this aggressive team go far?
Casper and Count Quackula have been friends since childhood and are a dynamic duo in any nighttime travels. Count Quackula is looking for an adventure he can sink his fangs into.Casper the ghost wants to win the race by being nice and playing ethically – can this strategy work?
Frankenstein and Marlene are the underdogs because they move slower than the other teams. These long time coworkers met at their Department of Licensing jobs. Frankenstein is not very bright, but he is anxious to bolt to the finish line. Marlene the mummy is a little wrapped up in herself, does she have what it takes to not be eliminated?

Retrieved Paula and Wanda from a Graceful Opportunity. This was an easy and very nice cache. Great for kids, my son loved finding his first travel bug. Paula and Wanda will be moving closer to their destination in the Atlantic Ocean this weekend.

I emailed the bug owner to ensure that waiting until mid-July was soon enough to get Wanda and Paul to Fla. Owner said it was just fine.

Placed this travel bug in a cache in Westlake Village (which just happens to be on the outside edge of Los Angeles County), California. I checked the other two pairs of ducks in this "duck race" and they have also arrived in California... so somebody needs to grab Paul and Wanda and hop on a plane for the east coast and get them on their way! So if you are on your way to LAX this would be an easy grab and go.
