Channel Island Eagle

Thru the efforts of the Institute for Wildlife Studies and the members/participants of the Channel Island Eagle Forum and of course the Forum host, VCOE, the bald eagles are being re-established on The Channel Islands! The first unaided hatching of a chick in over 40 years, has taken place but there is such a long way to go! And the journey for this "eagle" will be a long one as he begins here in New York! Picked up and will eithor move to an Eagle nesting area here, or just try to launch to a new spot moving towards CA if that looks possible. Will move soon. Interesting to read about the Cannel Island Eagle project; thanks for the education.

Found it took channel island eagle, funny thing a friend of mine drop a bug in calif a year ago and this bug came from calif. cute. i think i will give this travel bug to her as she is going west soon. perhaps she can fly it toward home. if not i will drop it when its not snowing.
