Christmas is an awesome time of the year when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus. Christians believe that Jesus is the light of the world. In the Christian Bible you will find the gospel of John. In John chapter 1:4,5 it says the following about Jesus: 'In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.' Further in John chapter 8:12 Jesus says: 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.' Also in the Christian Bible 1 Peter 2:9 speaks about people who follow Jesus, it says: 'You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praise of him who called you out of darkness and into his wonderful light.' 1 John 1:5-7 says: This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. but if we walk in the light, we have fellowship with oneanother and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.'
