Please take Taiyo for a walk in the woods!
Well, where to begin… Taiyo was our cherished family friend and loved pet dog. He was an Akita which if you know is a very large breed. He looked intimidating but he had a soft gentle heart.
His favourite past-time was going for walks in the woods. We would take him backpacking, camping and longs walks in the bush. Geocaching was a great way to take those long walks and explore new places.
We are not sure if Taiyo really enjoyed caching. Often when we were struggling to find a well hidden cache wandering around a small area, Taiyo would get frustrated and confused as to why we were taking so long to get going again.
Taiyo passed away in September 2012, but that should not stop us or anyone else from taking Taiyo for a walk in the woods. So we ask you to please take our beloved Taiyo for a walk and explore new trails. Please let us know where you go and what wonderful sights you see. Don’t worry, he does not need to be on a leash but you might need to bring some treats, he sure loved them.
