Current Goal

To boldly go where no man has gone before ...and come back as soon as possible (somewhere between Ghent and Bruges, in Belgium). But then again, if you could make me see places all over the world, and make me travel from one great cache to another I would be very happy too. As long as you bring me somewhat closer to Belgium  ...because, yes, I am a racing coin!

This is 1 of 5 Belgian Racing Coins ! (4 identical friends and an exclusive Ghent Coin)

This coin is one of the 5 racer coins which started in Belgium, and left for Australia to begin a great adventure. The coin represents what we, Belgians love to eat : fries with mayonaise !

The story behind these 5 coins is a true geocaching story of five people who share the same hobby, and enjoyed geocaching for several years: Riemse Rakkers, PatLePirat, Sergeant Pain, Styxcaver and Poekie64. One day, they met each other on an event and plans were forged to take on an adventurous night cache. But that was only the start of a whole new series of other adventurous caches. Nicks became persons, and persons became friends.

The five coins represent these friends, trying to see the great caches that are out there. Racing back towards Belgium to tell us their stories.

    December 2015...
    This last survivor of the first Conspiracy race around the world can come home! :-)
    We do want to make that bottle of champagne pop and decide to just go and get the precious coin in Aachen.
    Small problem: the Rekrut-CO makes a check but the coin is not there :-(
    Happy faces all around if 'a last visitors query' has result: the coin is found deep in the pocket of Dutch geocachers... :-)
    Days become weeks, Whatsapp messages continue to be exchanged... and finally the coin will be sent home safely (suggestions are made).

    January 2016, 11th...
    The postman has delivered a simple, much too big, torn envelop ...in a plastic bag with apalogies. Shipment muggled? Damaged in distribution? Game over.

    Very nice story about a sort of race-coins. Sad ending - it is the last of five. I was asked to have a look to the coin as owner of the cache GC1HDZ3 but unfortunately....

    I hope the coin will show up some day and will return to the owner!
