Current GOAL

Please drop this item in rural OR Premium Member Only caches.  Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event.  Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean and prevents tangling with other items.  Otherwise, take the travel bug anywhere you wish.  No permission is needed to leave the U.S.

Travel bug photos in the logs are appreciated.  I will re-post them here, where they can be seen by other cachers.

About This Item

This travel bug is one of a series made to commemorate soldiers who died serving their respective countries. The TBs are laminated photographs of poppies on one side and blue cornflowers on the other.  In the U.S. and Canada poppies are a symbol of war dead whereas nations in Europe respectively use either poppies or cornflowers for the same purpose.  We hope future cachers will honor a fallen soldier with a visit, be it at a military cemetery in the land where they died, or in their homeland, at a family plot at a church or civil cemetery.

Dropped this one in To Cache or not to cache in exchange for July GCC Spy Coin - KC but accidentally deleted log while trying to fix some things. My hope was to get it to Arlington, but I couldn't quite make it there; sorry about that. I got it close and hopefully someone can get it the rest of the way there as this seems to be a well-traveled cache. Also sorry I held on to it as long as I did - real life got in the way this winter. Good travels!

Visited several of the war memorials with this TB, including both Heroes' Salute at the World War II Memorial and So We Will Remember Them. Got pics at those two.
