This is my very first coin produced. Thanks to the help of Jim Collins all the way in Oregon, this coin became a reality.
I really wanted a coin that incorporated not only my caching name, but where I was from (South Africa) and one of my favorite animal scenes ( including my favorite animal) from home. Jim Collins took my rough sketches and created this beauty.
The front is the continent of Africa created from cheetah spots with a cheetah ahead hidden in it. I wanted the background to look like the old nautical maps with the compass rose on it waves and a texture. Around the edges we see cheetah paw prints along with the name cheetah in multiple African languages. On the back we see the classic Savannah or Veldt scene with my favorite animal overlooking the plains. I have been so excited to get this coin, and I cannot tell you how much more beautiful it is in my hand that in any picture. Thank you so much Jim Collins for persevering through this arduous process. He has been patient, understanding, and so helpful in this entire process.
