For Belted Kingfisher Geocoin

7 Mar 09 View Image Another cache - another ship... ... The ship is called "HMS President" and there is a cache close by. Unfortunately, the cache is only a micro so no room to leave it. The same problem with the other two caches I did today. 22 Feb 09 View Image A French gas carrier... The "Kingfisher" coin looks at a French LPG tanker also in the yard for repairs. The coin is sitting on part of the TSS tracking system that is used for tracking undersea communications cables and for measuring how deep below the seabed the cable is buried. 22 Feb 09 View Image Where's the coin... The coin is so small in comparison to the ROV that it is very hard to see it in this picture - unless you know where to look! 22 Feb 09 View Image Sitting on the port manipulator arm... The "Kingfisher" coin takes a rest on one of the ROVs two manipulators. The "prongs" are the fingers and the place where the coin sits is on the back of the "fingers".
22 Feb 09 View Image View from the owner's cabin... The "Kingfisher" coin basks in the sunshine whilst looking at the hangar deck of Ile de Brehat. Brest town centre lies a couple of kilometres to the east. 13 Jun 08 View Image Reisegruppe_nach_Malle 13 Jun 08 View Image Belted_Kingfisher_2 13 Jun 08 View Image Belted_Kingfisher_1
