Shrieking Eagle visits the Brandywine Battlefield Captbones dropped the Shrieking Eagle TB at a cache at the Brandywine Battlefield Park. The Battle of the Brandwine was fought between Washington and Howe on Sept. 11, 1777. It was the largest battle of the Revolutionary War involving 10,600 US troops and 17,000 British troops and was fought over an area greater than 10 square miles. The battle involved several other famous names including Gen. Layfeyette, John Marshall (future Chief Justice), Lord Charles Cornwallis, and Wilhelm von Knyphaus

Capturing a Canon at the Brandywine Battlefield The British won the Battle of the Brandywine, resulting in the capture of Philadelphia, but Washington's Army inflicted heavy losses on the British and retreated in good order to fight again on another day.
