The beach This is what most of the Bay Ocean spit looks like from the Pacific Ocean side. On the other side of the spit is Tillamook Bay.

The cache box. Here is where we left Chomps. We hope he won't have to stay in this isolated spot too long. There is a big wide world out there. After all he started on the Atlantic coast and now is on the edge of the Pacific Ocean.

Chomps out on a limb Here is Chomps on a dead tree limb. The cache is hidden under this tree. Although most of this spit is sand there are some trees on it as well.
