I wonder I always wonder what the story is when you come across these out in the middle of nowhere. How old is it? Who lived there? What happened to them? Their families?

geodog hates mice Chip had a lot of fun running around the foundation trying to get at the mice in the wall. I actually had a hard time getting him to leave and had to leash him to get him out of there!! Stubborn dog! He liked this spot a lot too

Mississippi View This isn't the exact wayside where the TB was, but it's close. This is actually called Maiden Rock. The story is a beautiful Indian maiden was to marry a warrior from a neighboring tribe as arranged by her father. She was in love with another man and didn't want to go through with the arranged marriage. She took her life jumping off of this bluff in defiance of her father--and thus Maiden Rock.
