DVE Dolphin at Fishin' Hole on the Yakima River This new cache (currently awaiting approval) is on the banks of the Yakima River, in Benton City, WA. This land in SE Washington is "high desert" and we only get about 7" of rain a year. When I moved here from Oklahoma 34 years ago, I was quite surprized to learn (from the book, Washington State Place Names) that a distant relative, a great-great Uncle had platted the town of Benton City and wanted to name it after himself. The sunset view from Sunset Island Cache DVE Dolphin took in an awesome sunset from the viewpoint at Sunset Island Cache GCHTH2. This viewpoint is located on Chuckanut Drive to the W of I-5 and to the East of Puget Sound.

Dolphin visited XXL Nurses cache This was a very interesting area to investigate in NW Washington, near Bow WA. Lots of very old trees, and stumps of very large old trees from whence were growing many new trees. A fun place to hike through.
