OC2305 (sorry about the finger) Below the viewing platform are the orginal cement pilings that supported the original firetower. The benchmark was (is?) in a rock between the cement blocks. Cannot be accessed at this time due to the platform and lattice work surrounding it, but you can peek.

Buttermilk Hill, Mt. Pleasant, NY This benchmark marks the oldest surviving triangulation point in North America (see the iron stake mark to the right, and follow the link below). I intend to place a cache near here some day soon...

Perry, Me Overlooking the Passamaquoddy Bay in Perry, Maine, this benchmark is blessed with a wonderful view of St. Andrews, New Brunswick and the surrounding islands. This benchmark was placed in 1946 on a point of land on our family's property, just north of the 45th parallel.
