Traveling on Florida's Interstate-4 From the day President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956, the Interstate System has been a part of our culture. The 1st I-4 segment opened 1959. Current route completed in 1971, 132 miles - Tampa to Daytona Beach.

Staying near Orlando International Airport The 2nd busiest airport in FL, 13th in the US and 29th in the world by passenger traffic. Formerly known as McCoy AFB until closure and all Air Force flight operations ceased in early 1975. You were in a TB hotel nearby that caters to this airport.

Traveling along US Route-27 Appeared in 1926, replacing western route of the Dixie Highway in many places. Designated a Memorial Highway by the Florida State Legislature. It was named after long-time Senator & congressman Claude Pepper. Route runs from Miami, FL thru Michigan.
