bomb crater south of Ehmen This photo was taken near the cache "Der stauende Bahndamm" south of Ehmen. Ehmen lies south-west of Wolfsburg, the former "Stadt des KdF-Wagens" (city of the strength by joy car). The "KdF-Wagen", later known as VW beetle was not built very long before the production changed to military equipment. I believe this was the reason for the bombing.
The damm where once the railway was is now being rebuild as a retaining dam.
