Outdoor ice rink The weather has finally turned cold enough for ice around here. We spotted a young boy with his hockey skates and stick getting ready to use the ice rink formed on a baseball field. Too bad we ended up with a DNF on Teddy's Fishing Hole cache which is located nearby.

Retired high school jersey of Mike Knuble Mike Knuble of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers played high school hockey at this rink. The school won the state title with him in 1992. When Mike played for the Red Wings they won the Stanley Cup. He brought it to the Kentwood Arena as part of a fund raiser for the team. It was cool to see The Cup only a mile away from our house. East Kentwood HS has won alot over the years. Lots of conference and regional titles over the years. The head coach, Ron Baum has won over 600 games in 30 plus years of coaching.

Wutt at Kentwood Ice Arena This ice arena is owned by our local school system. Pretty amazing for a school to own an ice rink. The high school team has great ice times.
