Klompen meets dancers Clogs, (with wooden soles dressed with steel) used to be widely used as footware in the mining, cotton and other heavy industries in the UK. With the decline of industry, use has died out except in certain heavy manual occupations.
Clogs are mainly now used by dancers, dancing morris and other traditional routines
