It's a plane! The Candy Cane with a plane that is hanging inside the museum. If forget exactly what the construction materials were for this plane, but like many during it's timeframe it was built with very lightweight materials.

With the tower clock. If my memory is correct (which is always very debatable) this clock was rescued and preserved when years ago the city tore down the old City Hall and it's clock tower. I didn't think to get a picture of it, but you can walk up to the one side and see all the moving parts moving in it and it still keeps accurate time and sounds on the hour and half hour.

Bear exhibit. Very bad photography on my part. You can assure your 6 year old that it is not intended to look like the mama bear is attacking the baby bear it's just I tood the picture at a bad angle which does not acturately reflect the intent of the exhibit.

Van Andel Museum Center I guess the real name of the Grand Rapids Musuem is really the Van Andel Museum Center. I've learned something new since looking at this picture. I was told the space capsule in front of the musuem was a real one that had been in space, but I have some doubts about that since I'd think they'd keep something that notable out of the inclement weather by keeping it inside. Anyways, this is the musuem we actually visited.

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. While we didn't actually go to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan it was right across the street from the Grand Rapids Musuem and being desperate for pictures I could take of your geocoin I had to snap it. I've heard it's a very nice musuem and someday hope to visit it.

A church in Holland, Michigan. I know a picture of a church is not thrilling, but in small West Michigan towns there really is not a lot to take pictures of especially when it's very cold and you don't drive and have to walk where ever you go. At least you'll know the Candy Cane is alive and still moving around.
