Capitol- West front Money shot #2. Uncle Skam hamming it up in a classic West front tourist pose. This ended his U.S. Capitol tour, he very much enjoyed it. I know I did too, since I had the morning off!

Capitol- East front Money Shot #1, brentbeebe with Uncle Skam outside the East front. Believe it or not, you can still walk the Capitol steps right here and look over the wall into the construction area. The building's still an impressive sight, even with all the cranes around.

Just a hole in the ground now... brentbeebe with Uncle Skam, looking out from the East front. Yeah, the project's just a hole in the ground right now, but it'll be fun to visit when it's complete. Visitors will enter via a descending walkway into the Center located under the East front. Landscaping will be restored above the center to conform as closely as possible to the original architect's plan. Access to the Capitol will be controlled in the center. Library of Congress is in the background of this photo.
