Oregon City Bridge The coin is in Oregon City, the traditional end of the Oregon Trail, which started west of St. Louis and ended here. Between 1792-1815 pioneers traveled over 2000 miles to reach Oregon and settle here.
This area is the home to the first people of Clackamas. The Clackamas tribe gathered salmon at Willamette Falls, ate it and traded it with other tribes. They also fished, hunted and gathered wapato, camas bulbs, acorns and nuts.
