SCCH Main Building The Saint Cloud Children's Home has six "cottages" that the students live in. Each cottage has its focus that the students and staff concentrate upon. Residence is based upon need and type of diagnosis. More information can be found on the web at www.stchildrenshome.org.

SCCH Welcome Sign. This is where I teach. It was originally an orphanage, nw it is a treatment center for youth. Some students live on campus, other students live at home and come to school for academic classes and clinical treatment. I have an elementary class of 1st through fourth graders in the morning, and a class of 5th through 8th graders in the afternoon.

Pit stop for lunch @ Uranium Arch To learn more about this arch, found along the 7-miRIM OHV trail, visit: http://www.archmillennium.net/Uranium_Arch.htm
Tons of wind/water-formed arches are in this area near Moab, Utah. The Sandstone formations are a variety of spectacular sizes.

Mickey & GMES near some Crypto... What a STICKY situation! ;)
All jokes aside, to the right of this small cactus & TB's is "Cryptobiotic Soil/Crust".
Without "Crypto", plants that sustain wildlife and watershed in the area have nothing to stick to the sand. It's a living organism that takes YEARS to form and only a careless moment to destroy. It essential to teach hikers/OHV'ers young AND old to stick to designated trails. For more info: http://www.nps.gov/care/crypto.htm

3bugs at The Bird-Chickadee Lift Right around the corner from where the Aerial Trams Dock (With Jackson Hole's tram closing next season, Snowbird will have THE ONLY active ski-Tram system in the Rockies, perhaps the U.S.) is the "green-difficulty" Chickadee Lift. To the right of that is the Cliff Lodge, one of four lodges at Snowbird.

3bugs at The Bird I work up at Snowbird Ski&Summer Resort in the Marketing department and have firsthand knowledge of how powerful a natural phenomenon as SNOW/POWDER is to Utah's economy. It has been a banner season, we'll easily break 500" of snowfall this year THIS WEEK!!! The resort is based at 8100ft, and the Aerial Trams (one blue, one red) travel to Hidden Peak at 11,000ft!

Utah State Capitol Not as pretty as it normally is -- but when they're done renovating, it'll be restored to have more parking and enhanced gardens. Can't wait! It's a very pretty (and old) building! That is Memory Grove in the foreground. A wonderful tribute to soldiers of several past wars with historic buildings... one of many pet friendly parks in the area.

Waterwheel in Brigham Young Park It's hard to tell but there is a body of water (not too pretty! lol) in front of the water wheel... it's a great artifact! There are so many remnants of waterwheels in Utah, I see them all the time on hikes. Harnessing the power of the many tributaries in the state as untold amounts of water rushed off the local mountains was a cheap way to run mills and assorted industrial facilities.

Bronzes in Brigham Young Park A small park with lovely landscaping. Nice historic plaques to read too. This set of bronzes depicts the dangerous work of quarrying rock (from sandstone to granite, locally) to provide building materials for early settlers.

Bronzes in Brigham Young Park A small park with lovely landscaping. Nice historic plaques to read too. This one is about how the pioneers had to be VERY resourceful when settling the area in the mid-19th century, as the terrain was difficult to initially cultivate.
