Where the sidewalk ends? Remnants of an old military base road can be seen disappearing off the edge of the cliff. Several decades ago this road probably went 200 hundred feet or more towards the edge of the cliff. In another several decades The Centerville Photo Project cache location will probably be non-existent or at the bottom of the ocean due to erosion!

Erosion of cliff face Winter storms brings swelling rivers and streams and runoff. This leads to erosion. Parts of California are literally falling into the ocean!

Shell Fossil found on Lost Coast The fossil in this photo was found at the beach in the photos. When the tides are low and the small river is flowing in the right place, an ancient fossil bed is exposed and fossils like this can be found there. You can also find agates!
