Winfield Dam Same spot, looking downstream towards Winfield Lock and Dam. This is an interesting spot in January because a lot of bald eagles tend to fly down from Canada and winter near the locks, probably for ready access to fishing in unfrozen water. I counted 23 one year. Some you could almost walk up to.

A little reinactment in Green Bay Beaver rides on the shoulder of a war of 1812 reinactor. This gentleman was in the uniform of an English leutennant. He is thus the enemy to the U.S. Brig Niagara. He liked hanging out with us anyway. On Sunday morning a big storm came through with 60 mile per hour winds and totally wrecked their encampent and we didn't see them anymore. I was soaked to the skin tying on extra dock lines trying to make sure the ship stayed at the dock.
