Welcome (back) to Idaho! As you can see by the welcome sign, Idaho isn't just a state of potato heads. We have mountains, lakes and rivers with clear water, prairies, and deserts and, yeah, they grow the finest potatoes here also. But majority of that farming is about 500 miles south! In the immediate vicinity here in Northern Idaho lumber and mining are or were king, however the farmers grow grass seed, hay, peppermint and other crops.
