Pumuckl.jpg Also Lieblingsrestaurant mag ich das jetzt nicht unbedingt nennen, aber ich empfehle es gern für den Mittagstisch, denn hier gibt es reichlich Nahrung in guter Qualität zu fairen Preisen. Vorweg gibt es Brot mit Quark (oder sowas) und ein Softdrink ist im täglich wechselnden Mittagstisch auch mit drin ;-)

Dinner at the 14-39 Pumuckle with the American staple....Hamburger and fries. Not fancy fare but good. Considering we are smack dab in the middle of "beef" country it is fitting.

Runza 01 This is a picture of my favorite meal at Runza East Resturant (one of three in Hastiings, NE) located at 123 N Elm Ave in Hastings, Nebraska USA. This is a chain fast food restaurant but this location has the Best Runzas, Hamburgers and Onion rings of any I have eaten anywhere. This location is the best of all of their locations. Their web site is:http://runza.com/. They are located mostly in Nebraska with one each in Kansas, and Iowa and two in Colorado.

How can you go wrong with green food? My favorite at Spaghetti Works: Pesto Cream sauce. Once you get past the color, it's quite tasty. Hm, I don't especially even like pasta most of the time, and yet I ate it twice while Pumuckel was with me -- he's quite an influence!

A theme emerges... more noodles Later in our journey, my sister and her fiance took me out to dinner for my birthday to Spaghetti Works, also in the 12th & R area in Lincoln. Shown here is Pumuckel and my sister's chicken parmesan with pasta.

Happiness is... leftover lo mein Pumuckel and I spent a couple of weeks together scoping out my favorite downtown Lincoln, Nebraska restaurants. Our first stop, Vien Dong at 1209 R Street, was a little too crowded for photography. Here is Pumuckel with one of my favorite dishes: Combination Lo Mein (no shrimp, please.) It is especially tasty at Vien Dong because there is virtually no "sauce" on the noodles -- just spice. Yum!

Pumuckel and The Husker Breakfast Pumuckel is surrounded by a good meal, The Husker, at the Garden Cafe, 5100 North 27th, Lincoln NE USA. The breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, bacon strips, sausage patties, home fried potatoes, buttered wheat toast, buttermilk pancakes, with hot tea and apple juice. A hearty meal for a hearty TB traveler!
