US Navy F4U1 Corsair This model is an original one, built in 1943, and exposed in the TAM Aviation Museum in Sao Carlos. It´s in a kind of real-scale diorama depicting the aircraft in the Pacific war theater where it indeed flew and fought. The 'Icons' geocache visited this wonderful bird!

The geocoin and the Sao Paulo state countryside Picture taken in our way back from Sao Carlos to Sao Paulo, after a short stop to fill up the tank. Here are the aproximate coordinates from which the picture was taken, looking towards southeast (images in Google Earth are a bit outdated, it´s going to show the excavations where today there is a big fuel & service station):
