Tonka at KTTF, Monroe Custer Airport Stopped by Custer Airport on the way to grab a cache nearby along the River Raisin.

Flying above Naval Air Station Grosse Ile Now Grosse Ile Municipal Airport (KONZ), these historic runways once trained many of our nation's aviators heading off to WWII, including one Lt. George H.W. Bush, who lived in nearby Trenton with his new wife, Barbara. Later in the war, part of the airport was used as a POW camp for German prisoners. As the cold war began, part of the base was converted to a Nike missile base, ready to shoot down any incoming Soviet nukes!
